Taking power plants as an example, how much carbon dioxide does saving 1 kilowatt hour of electricity or 1 kilogram of coal actually reduce? According to expert statistics, for every 1 kilowatt hour of electricity saved, 0.328 kilograms of standard coal are saved, while pollution emissions are reduced by 0.272 kilograms of carbon dust, 0.997 kilograms of carbon dioxide, 0.03 kilograms of sulfur dioxide, and 0.015 kilograms of nitrogen oxides.
